Some pursuits begin with a single step. For Mark Hayes, it started with a letter. As a teenager, Mark wrote to Mathews in hopes of working in the archery industry. That pursuit led him and his wife to move across the country to fulfill a dream. Fourteen years later, Mark is now a major part of the engineering team responsible for the bows many hunters carry into the field today.

But behind the designs and the pursuit of perfection is the same passion that started it all - bowhunting. This season, with three tags in three states, he sets out to make the most of a rare opportunity while balancing the responsibilities of work, faith, and family waiting for him at home.
