A choke is a choke on a shotgun ... you have to pattern them to see if they are really what they say. Ain't no such thing as a Turkey Choke, if there was there'd be a Duck Choke, Goose Choke, Quail Choke, Dove Choke, etc ... all to sell something you don't need. Cyl, Skeet, Imp Cyl, Mod, Imp Mod, Full just about covers all bases. With that said, your load velocity will also affect the pattern. Overload a shotshell and you get what is called a blown pattern ... or a donut, with a hole in the middle. I use a full choke with #5 shot for head shots. Some like #4 ... but others insist that #7½ is best for head shots. Pattern them and see what gives you the best results. If you are shooting the body, you'll have to figure out what size shot and load will give you the best results without ruining too much meat.
