Gets one's blood boiling, but a little early for Damsel Fly hatches in CO. I went ice fishing last week on the Blue Mesa Reservoir, East of Montrose CO, and caught a 19¾" Brown ... nice and fat. I think the cold water makes the fish firmer and taste sweeter. Last leaping Brown I caught was after Crane Flies on Kennedy Creek in the Eastern Sierras. However, this Brown would come completely out of the water to take the large Crane Flies. I don't often run into a Crane Fly hatch but do have a few Deer Hair Daddy in my fly box. http://www.west-fly-fishing.com/fly-pattern-recipe/dry/deerhairdaddy.shtml
