I've said before... I'm torn. The Libertarian in me really doesn't want any Government telling me what I can do and what I can ingest as long as I'm responsible. I also know that when the Gov't tries to legislate morality it normally ends up working out bad for everybody. Look no further than prohibition to see how well it works. On the other hand, Alcohol is legal to buy and use, and that really hasn't been all that great either. Our culture doesn't seem to do well with intoxicants and self-regulation. Maybe the real problem is that we've removed too many of the consequences of screwing up your life so people don't get the feedback they need in order to self regulate? For that reason, I think the Libertarian approach won't work out too well. My big concern is that kids these days seem all to capable of getting their hands on it and using it to their detriment.
