The Mission bows come with the Zebra Hybrid strings, and the Mathews bows came with the Mathews Genuine strings, so most likely they'd now have the Trophy strings, but good question. All I can find online is the standard press release on the Zebra Trophy strings, which doesn't give any details on how the Trophy strings differ from the Hybrid strings ... presumably the Trophy series uses the latest BCY fiber blend, like the 17% Vectran X-string ?????
I just built a 2-cam string and cables set for my old Browning 6T6 Heat out of Brownell Astro-Flight (100% HMPE). With BCY 452x, 35% Vectran blend, the bow sounded like a .30-.30 going off, but with the Astro-Flight the shot is much softer and only sounds like a .22, even after I raised the limb pivots to increase preloading and strung the bow to 80# peak DW instead of the original 70# ... but shooting at about 73#. I didn't gain any speed, which just about every string manufacturer claims but never seems to work out, but the shootability is much better. I haven't had a chance to try the new BCY X-fiber, but considering the 8190x material made my Monster much less 'twangy', I'm interested in how the Zebra Trophy strings compare. I might just put the Zebra Trophy strings on the Z7 Mag instead of the Winners Choice ... first, I'm waiting on Zebra Strings to respond to my question about warranty.
