I have a question about using scents. I am in Michigan and we are in the pre rut with the weather finally getting colder. I have used scents only as drags before during the rut. Last night I used a couple of wicks dipped in Golden Estrus and placed the 10-15 yards from my stand. The bottle calls for 6-10 drops but I have seen them dipped a few inches into the bottle before but I wonder if that is too much. Also do you throw your wicks away each time or can you put them in baggies to reuse. I am also thinking the pre rut may be to early to use scent and this might actually spook the deer. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
