Now, back to the OP (CombatHM). Well, judging by the responses, I guess the vote is no…..don’t leave it in your car. Although I have to admit I’m a little compulsive, I bring my bow in the house after each time I use it. This way, I can give it a quick check to make sure everything is still where it’s supposed to be and to clean it if I’ve been out hunting.
I'll actually play the opposite side of the coin-- at least this time of year. If the temp is below 70 or so, my bow lays on the back bench of my truck under a covering all during season. The truck stays locked and it's insured. There's no way to tell it's a bow looking through the window, and I always have it with me. That became my practice a number of years ago after I got up around 2:45am, drove 35 miles to pick up buddy, then another 55 to our hunting spot only to discover that my bow was still in my garage (but fortunately I still had my quiver!).
I also forgot my camera that day, so I had a great morning of sitting in my stand twiddling my thumbs. It was even before the age of iPhone so there was no 'socializing' to do either.
As I recall it was a beautiful morning, so just enjoying creation was at least enjoyable.
