The last six Mathews bows I have owned I changed out the factory grip. I did it for reason of better thickness of the grip. The last four I have owned I put the Focus grip on it. I like it with reservations. I can create some torquing very easily with the way it lays in my hand at full draw. It has more contact at the top of my hand than it does at the heal of it. If you push into your shots you don't have a solid heal/palm contact with the grip. You have more contact at the top of your hand more than the heal of the hand and to me you can torque very easily with this poor contact issue. I have to focus on dropping the heal of my hand to get to a low wrist set or grip where the factory grip is a higher mid wrist setup and feels like a natural grip. I am wanting it to contact my palm from top to bottom naturally and relax my muscles in my bow hand so I will not torque the shot. Now granted this maybe related to my draw length but I have talked to other guys about this and they agree. I feel if they designed it with more heal to it bring it up to mid wrist grip it would sure help. Or make it two styles the original low wrist and the mid wrist style and do a comparison with a survey it will be a better product. And I wondered if you guys and gals felt the same way about it or not. What's your opinions on it, maybe I'm wrong.
