Agree with Vash on the 'tank' part and the locks on the 4114a. The case is heavy even when empty. Add two bows and you will appreciate the wheels. The locks are pretty lame. I think for that reason, SKB now has lock loops on some of the cases, however anyone with a good bolt cutter can render those locks useless in a short amount of time. I think if someone is going to take something, they'll take the whole case and take their time about breaking it open later. As far as protection goes, I'd give em an A+. I bought this one recently:
The 4114a is roomy but the 3i is smaller and lighter. If you're doing an Alaskan trip - ck with your air-taxi to ask about case dimensions and weight.
