If you can work such a trade that would be enjoyable for yourself as well as your business associate, absolutely - go for it. As Nolander stated, early November would likely be a prime time for a hunt. Talk to your associate and ask him what time he would recommend. If he desires an equally rewarding fishing trip on your end, he'll be honest with you. I know you likely intended no disrespect, and tone is very difficult to convey in a written format, but please know that folks up in this part of the country tend to look at non-residents with a skeptical eye. Far too many people from out-of-state come to Wisconsin to pursue big deer and make jerks out of themselves in the process by the way they conduct themselves in town and when seeking permission to access our lands (most of those folks are from the Chicago area
). We value politeness and modesty fiercely up here. If the locals feel you are being dismissive and/or disrespectful, they will let you know both upfront and in any further instance where you may require assistance, you may find it hard to get. Now about those Mosquitos, you do know they get big up here, correct? Big enough to be our "unofficial" state bird! Good luck! Paul
