What signs can i look for if the arrow is underspined?
Unable to get good broadhead flight, broadheads and field point do not have the same impact point, unforgiving of slightest inconsistencies in shot execution resulting is wide misses, good groups one day but poor groups the next, good groups at first but as fatique sets in groups open up with "frequent fliers", difficult/critical to tune usually with the centershot too close to the riser, etc. Arrow manufacturers make available Arrow Selection Charts. Most, like Carbon Express and Gold Tip, have provisions for Adjusted Draw Weight to compensate for bows with IBO rating over 310 fps. Mfg selection charts are generic and make assumptions about component weights and fletching. If you want a 'closer ballpark' determination of the optimal spine, use software simulation made for that ... OnTarget2, TAP, AA. OT2 has a 10-day free demo/trial.
