With your "new" shorter arrows, did you also change nocks? In addition to nock pinch, check to make sure your nocks fit properly on the serving... My previous bow was a 27" DXT, and I was pulling my hair out trying to get better groups at longer ranges. Took it to my local pro shop and it took him about 15 seconds to tell me my nocks were too tight... re-served the string narrower, and in a very short time I was shooting 2" groups at 40yds, and could get 3" at 50 when I was doing my part. The DXT will shoot. Snap an arrow on the string, and pull it off by hand...it should only take a couple pounds, and come off easily...if you have to fight it off there, change nocks or re-serve. fyi <edit> after re-serving: 40 yards, the three just left are montec practic blades, the rest field points and the results at 20yds indoor
