As stated we tried most of the above mentioned releases...[ thumb releases exempted] taking in a lot of factors, noise, smoothness and reliability I always came back to the fletchunter, never quit, some of brands above we experienced major malfunctions... the fletchunter I wash in a mud puddle once a year, need it or not
..seriously a clean it up with air wipe down and spray some powdered graphite on it once a year and forget about it... interesting we did a little test ...we took eight different releases using the same bow and set up only change was the release.. a couple brand name releases impacted high and left 7 inches...not a big issue if your using it as one tunes in their pins to POI...but definably impacted different from the majority... that could mean a huge difference in tune... others consistently sprayed arrows compared to the others...[sprayed= a three inch group compared to a one inch group] some the noise eliminated further tests with that release immediately, one even malfunctioned ...with premature releasing on draw...it was new, not cheap and right out of the package ...a major brand The thing that impressed me with the fletchunter impacted dead on with our Hooter Shooter while others didn't...
