Last year I bought my DXT and related items, and a new rifle and bow for my 8 yr old to start hunting with so all that was around $2000-2500. But most years I don't spend anywhere near that. I hunt within 5 miles of my house (free family land except for seed for plots and repairs on our stands.) My license costs $50. I use my 25 year old Remington 30-06 during rifle season and I handload my own rounds with my stock pile of IMR powder and Nosler ballistic tip bullets I bought a few years back. My biggest cost most years is breakfast/lunch before we hit the woods, ice for the meat coolers and zip lock freezer bags to bag up the meat. I figure my average per year is $500-600. I also buy closeout/discount equipment when I find it (Bass Pro or Cabela's website or my local dealers). I get some pretty good stuff that way.
