[quote="PABowhunter4life":2bmdef60]EVERY athlete in EVERY sport is overpaid and that's all there is to it. People get $60 million deals out of college and hit the NFL and flop, same goes with all the other sports as well. Yes, they have great determination and great skills, but they don't deserve what they get paid. They know what they are sacrificing in each game, they know the risks. IF they "truly love the game" like so many of them say then they would play it for $x / hr. and if they didn't perform well at their job they should get fired, just like anyone on here. Teachers mold our children and make $25k a year, the president runs the country and makes $250k a year, yet an illiterate drug dealer makes $50 million a year because he can jump and put a ball through a hoop. Ava can do that now at 11 months, nothing impressive about it at all.[/quote:2bmdef60] There are thousands upon thousands of jobs teaching and even more that are willing to teach or capable of teaching thus they don't make much. The harder, more technical the job, the less people able or willing to do a job the higher the pay checks. IE lawyers, doctors, accountants, ceos, cfos, etc... many would love to do those jobs few would be able to do it or willing to spend the time to study to do such or move up ladder... professional sports are same way. I do agree that their money should not be guaranteed especially rookies as there are too many busts who make millions... And I wouldn't call professional athletes illiterate drug dealers... like calling all white men without hair neo nazis...
