Update*...for those who build your own strings or have someone build them for you...have whoever builds them add two inches to each end of serving at idler and cam.... that way whiskers tie directly onto serving not string itself. This is proving to have many benefits ..It provides a super strong bond ..wont ever slip and [b]eliminate's the need for the instalatzion of the string stops[/b]...another asset is it prevents any wear on string also..not that the whiskers cause wear unless the whiskers were not tied in proper and were loose.. Downside... you loose approx 2 ft per...Still IMO the benefits outweigh this minimal speed loss..
