OK ,newbie question on this tuning..Is it with fieldpoints or Broadheads???
,
I've been using this tuning method for years. It used to be called the "French Method." What I have found is that, with broadheads and field points of the same weight in the same exact arrow, it won't make much difference at all. If you're shooting a broadhead of, say, 105 grains, the broadhead is mounted properly and is not particularly subject to planing, it will shoot to the same point of impact as a 105-grain field point. The French Method added consideration for a radiused patter, like a ")" or "(", which indicated that plunger button tension was not set properly. However, if you're shooting a release and your arrow is at the proper center shot for your bow, there's obviously no need for consideration of side pressure/plunger tension on the arrow.
