Terry grew up shooting archery in his back yard. It is largely because of this time spent in his backyard that he is the professional archer he is now. The people that have made the biggest impact on his career, however, were the close friends that he shot competitively against.
Terry Bingaman competes in both the Super Senior and Masters divisions. He shoots an eZ7 and a Triumph. Some of his accomplishments include the following:
- 1999 – IBO World Championship – 1st Place
- 2000 – 2003 IBO World Indoor Championship – 1st Place
- 2001 IBO Erie & McKean 1st Place
- 2003 ASA Tennessee 2nd Place
- 2003 ASA Illinois 2nd Place
- 2005 ASA South Carolina 5th Place
- 2007 – IBO National Triple Crown – 1st

His favorite part of his experience as an archer has been attending national tournaments and visiting with friends from all over the country.
When not competing, Terry loves spending time with family, running, farming Christmas trees, and working with youth at his local archery club. To all new archers, Terry says to “get advice from an experienced archer so that you know correct shooting form and can get a bow set up properly.”
Terry Bingaman’s personal testimony regarding Mathews bows and Zebra strings:
“I owe my success in 2011 to the Conquest Triumph. It is so, so smooth, accurate, and fun to shoot! Also, I get a lot of attention because of how good it looks! Zebra bowstrings are free from stretching and are also extremely durable.”
