Pro Staff: Scott Price

Scott Price, a WV resident, began shooting archery after a friend had convinced Scott to shoot with him. Since then, he has continued to enjoy the sport of archery for around 35 years.  He is currently in the Senior Pro division.  He shoots a Conquest Apex 8, MR7, and utilizes a Drenalin for hunting purposes.

His family has encouraged and supported him throughout the years, and the competition and new friends he has met along the way have kept him going.  To all the new archers out there, he says “Never give up on your goals!  And have fun with it!”  Here are some of his recent accomplishments:

  • 2011 – ASA FLA. 8th; ASA LA 13th; ASA TX. 6th; ASA GA. 20th; ASA KY. 12th; ASA IL. 5th
  • 2011 – IBO. 2nd Leg Triple Crown 4th; IBO 3rd Leg Triple Crown 9th; IBO Worlds 24th

Scott is an NFAA and NAA Level 1 & 2 Coach and competes with his daughter- fellow Mathews ProStaff member, Kaitlyn Price. His most memorable archery moment was witnessing his daughter shoot her first deer when she was just 10 years old.

When Scott isn’t shooting in a competition, he gives archery demos at wild game feeds, helps introduce the sport to cub scouts and church youth groups, and also does demos for the local grade schools.  He loves hunting, fishing, weight lifting, running and hiking.

Scott Price’s personal testimony regarding Mathews bows and Zebra strings:

“They’re the best bows I have ever shot, period.  I feel like I always have an advantage shooting my Mathews.  Zebra strings are also, by far, the best bow strings out on the market and the most durable!”
