Lloyd is a part time freelance outdoor writer, and full time owner with brother, Gary, of Top Craft Tool Inc, a Michigan based tool and automation machine builder. He has hunted most of the US, Canada, Africa, and New Zealand. He has taken close to 100 fine trophies with archery equipment. Lloyd is a bow hunter first, and a 3-D shooter second, any equipment that he uses must be proven the best! That is why he will not Switch back and shoots only Mathews!
When not chasing big whitetails or planning his next outdoor adventure, Lloyd enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities with his wife, (Sue), daughter, (Carly) age 21 and son (Shane),at age 19 already an accomplished bow hunter, who is fast filling up a portion of the family Trophy Room with his own hunting successes.
I think the biggest thing is you have to train, just like you would for any sport. Bow hunting is a very physically demanding sport , so being in shape can give you the drive and advantage needed to be consistently successful. Not just shooting, but all around training, running, lifting weights, etc. it will make it easier and more enjoyable for a long career of being in the outdoors.
