Kelly Ward began shooting archery with her brother Ben at a young age. 3D archery was in its beginning stages at the time and they both excelled at it and loved it.  They’ve both continued on till today, their admiration for competitive shooting still intact and as strong as ever.
Kelly credits God, her husband, and her friends and family as being the most impactful people in her archery career. They’ve allowed her to compete and excel in her craft. Some of her achievements include the following:
- 2010 – World archery festival, Las Vegas, 1st place
- 2007 – IBO overall triple crown, 1st place
- 2007 – Bedford National IBO, 1st place
- 2007 – ASA Florida National event, 1st place
- 2006 – ASA Augusta National event, 1st place
- 2006 – Erie National IBO event, 1st place
“I was fortunate enough to compete in the great outdoor games the first year and win the silver metal,” explains Kelly. “The best part was that the following year, I was asked to make a spotlight for ESPN on my life outside of archery. I was able to include my mother and aging grandmother in the filming. My grandmother passed away just after that and it’s incredibly meaningful to know that she had the chance to enjoy being a part of my archery!  After that, however, I won the world archery festival in Las Vegas. Although I have won many tournaments in the Women Pro class, this is a very coveted title and it’s an achievement that I am very proud of!”
Some of her hobbies outside of archery include riding her Harley with her husband, visiting her property in the mountains and relaxing outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She also has 85 employees that take up a lot of her time.
Kelly’s incredibly thankful to be a part of “representing Mathews in the best team of archers in the world.” She shoots the Conquest Apex 7, the Prestige, and the Monster.
Kelly Ward’s personal testimony regarding Mathews bows and Zebra strings:
“Mathews continues to create excellent bows that fit and perform! They have made me very successful in the tournament arena. I’ve won more than I ever could have dreamt was possible. And I can always rely on Zebra strings to perform perfectly, no matter the weather!”
