Danielle Stone first got involved in the sport of archery after she had returned home from college due to knee surgery. She took her father’s old bow and started shooting out in the yard. Little did she know, she would be having serious heart surgery later on that year. “When sports wasn’t an option anymore,” she says, “I was all of a sudden hooked on archery! I knew it was something I could get hooked on and become good at.” A year after starting, she became a professional.
Danielle shoots the Monster and Z-7 Magnum, but she also hunts with a Prestige. Her home is in Westminster, SC. Here are some of her accomplishments.

She says that her father, mother and Dan Renner have made the biggest impact on her archery career. Her parents took care of her and have helped to get her to all of her shoots. Danielle says that Dan Renner is “truly an archer I look up to. He always has the right things to say at the right times.”
Her favorite part of the competition is the people. Through archery, she’s met and gotten to shoot with hundreds of people that share her passion.
To new archers, she says “Always have faith in your shot and faith in yourself, for you never know what God has in store for you! My most memorable moment in my archery career would be making shoot down for Women’s Open in IL, Mathews Solocam ASA.” And certainly she didn’t expect moving so quickly into professional shooting!
She participates in as much archery as she can locally in order to better herself, and she helps to do registration at a local club. She tries to encourage people that don’t shoot much. Outside of archery, she loves to enjoy time in the outdoors. “Fishing, wake boarding, watching my Cousin race MX, that’s a lot of what I do,” Danielle says. “And finishing Nursing School is a big thing in my life as well.”
Danielle Stone’s personal testimony regarding Mathews bows:
“I have always shot Mathews bows, starting with the Mustang, going on to the prestige, and now the Monster and Z7 Magnum. I love my Monster! I call it “ole Faithful” because I can always rely on that bow to bring me through.”
