Shoot Type: Turkey
What a morning!
On the morning of the last day of spring turkey season, I had 6 jakes fly down across the Gasconade River here in the Missouri Ozarks, to my call. I was set up in a Double Bull T5 blind and the birds were oblivious to my presence. As the jakes ran to my decoys that I had set up in a mating position, three of the jakes stopped 9 yards from me. I drew back my Mathews MQ1 and lined up my peep and the sight, and sent a cloth yard carbon shaft, tipped with a 100 grain Muzzy, on its way.. The little 13 and a half pound jake only made it 13 yards before going head over heels. Thanks for a wonderfully crafted and shooting bow!
