Trophy Gator

I shot this gator in a canal in Okeechobee, Florida. It was a 22 yard shot across the canal as he layed in the water on the opposite shore. I used a Gator Getter arrow but not the reel and line as it would not shoot that far. I worked 5 hours to improvise my own system so I could make the 22 yard shot. He measured just over 11 feet and weighed 625 lbs. It was a very exciting hunt and a true trophy, expecially for a guy from Maine.
