Solo Bull

September 9, 2012 by Rick Roeder

On a solo hunt I was able to get a very large bull I have labled “Haas” to scream at me. I ended up basically in his bedroom when I began blowing cow calls followed by a satelite bull scream. When this bull came in I first noticed the rack and then the size of his body. I was sure “Hass” was coming in to check things out. When I got a better look at the rack I knew it was not the bull I was looking for but I had already drawn the arrow on my Z7 and made the decision to take the sure shot. I took a quartering away shot at 32 yards and put the arrow right through the lungs. The bull didn’t go 15 yards before falling and rolling into some trees. 24 Hrs later I had the bull packed out and was headed home. An awesome solo hunt with my Mathews and another great trophy for the collection. Thanks Matt for giving me the opportunity to own such a finely machined bow!!
