NC Senior Games Gold Medal Winner
Leon Jones took home the gold medal in the NC Senior Games Archery Competition Saturday Sept. 26 in Raleigh, NC. in the 55-59 yr old division. Leon was shooting a Mathews Drenalin LD. He also posted the high score of the day in all class groups shooting only 6 points shy of the state record and also posted a higher score than a Hoyt sponsored shooter. Leon is a retired UPS driver that loves archery, hunting and fishing, spending time with his family and being active in his church. Leon works part time at a Mathews distributor helping to set up bows for customers and promoting archery to local youth by being instrumental in forming a local archery club.
