The 2004 season was by far my most successful season as a bow hunter. In the early season I harvested a buck and two does. On December 15th I decided to try one of my stands that I had rarely used. I slipped into the creek bottom late in the afternoon. There was already deer moving into the creek bottom and I slipped into my stand undetected. After about 30 minutes I saw a a great buck following a doe. I was able to wait until he gave me a good broadside shot at 15 yards. My Mathews bow enabled me to harvest my largest whitetail deer ever. He officially scored 142 2/8 and made him my first pope and young deer. Thank you Mathews for a hunt to remember.
