Bob’s Buck

May 9, 2012 by Robert Johnson

My dad shot a LX for years, I didn’t think he would ever upgrade to a newer model. After having neck surgery last year and wanting a little more speed without having to pull 70lbs, Bob finally went a got him a Z7 Extreme. He instantly fell in love with his new Mathews, it also proved to be all he had wished for as you can see in the photo. My dad arrowed his biggest buck to date in Kansas this past October. The buck stood motionless at 35 yards for more than 10 minutes looking at another buck which was standing under his tree. You could imagine adrenaline rushing for that long, the smooth draw and excellent let off of the Z7 Extreme helped my dad settle in a make a great shot on this Kansas bruiser. The Buck green scored 226.25, this is truly a buck of a lifetime and he wouldn’t have him back in Alabama if it wasn’t for his Matthews.
