Bear Stalked on Ground
My good friend Dan Hooper of River of No Return Taxidermy in Salmon Idaho and I were elk hunting when we spotted this bear feeding on scrub oak acorns several hundred yards away. With the wind perfectly in our faces, we began a thirty minute stalk to within 18 yards. My Mathews Legacy worked to perfection, sending a CXL 350 arrow w/ 140 gr. G-5 into and through the bear. We recovered the bear after a mere 70 yard blood trail. Thanks for the great product. My nephew, Josh Greis, also in camp with us, shot and killed a 5 point bull the same evening with his Mathews Legacy. All in all, a great Mathews Labor Day Weekend success. Ill never own a bow that isnt a Mathews.
