Alberta Black Bear Hunt
My first Alberta bear hunt allowed me to take two bears. After shooting a beautiful black bear on the second day, I was now looking for an unusual bear, or maybe just some good video memories. I had just climbed into my stand and was setting up my video camera when the brown color phase black bear walked in. My Mathews Rival Pro was still at the base of my tree on my haul line! I slowly pulled it up, abandoned the camera idea, and waited for a shot. The bear turned broadside between two trees at 30 yards. My heart was pounding as I settled my 30 yard pin above the front leg, released, and watched the arrow disappear into the thick brown spring coat. He ran less than 50 yards and fell along a logging road. I love my Rival Pro.
