29 Point Buck Of A Lifetime

December 31, 2013 by Kraig Schmitt

I was always a Hoyt guy until the first Mathews Switchback came out. I purchased the first generation Switchback and it was like moving from driving a Pinto to a top of the line Cadillac. I’ve never ran an arrow on top of another arrow practicing until I shot this bow. I have destroyed 2 arrows target practicing because of driving them on top of each other and countless fletching because of running the arrows right next to each other. It truly is that accurate.

Now this Switchback has dropped a lot of deer but nothing like the 29 point buck of a lifetime that I shot on New Years Eve of 2013. The buck along with 15 doe came out in the field that I was on the edge of. They were out there for about 35 mins and a coyote came to the edge to my right side and moved all the deer across the field to my left. The big buck that I shot was 32 yards away and I knew I had to make my shot then or let it pass. I decided to take my shot but it was thru some thick twigs and limbs. I still was able to get a clean shot and dropped the deer 50 yards from where I hit it. I have never had a problem with this bow even though I have a tremendous amount of shots thru it. I’ve never even replaced the string. The bow is showing its age because of all the hard use I’ve put it thru but it still shoots great.

Thanks for creating such a great product.
