Whack...another Mathews Moment!
I am a full-time pastor and love to bowhunt. On my 51st birthday I bought a new Mathews Z7 and then I saw the contest on the Mathews webpage and set out to make a fun video. I arrowed a gold medallion Catalina goat and a trophy hog in Oklahoma. I arrowed a great longbeard in Kansas and last but not least I shot a nice black bear in Saskatchewan, KS. I hope you enjoy the video!
Ol Tom and the Bandit
This is a two minute version of our 2008 spring turkey hunt. This hunt involves Ol' Tom turkey, a curious raccoon, and my Mathews DXT. A raccoon comes and pushes a Tom off of his roof, causing him to fly down right in front of us. This is My Mathews Moment becuase if the raccoon wouldn't have interfered, I'm sure the Tom would have gone the other way toward his hens.
Robin Hood first time shooting Z7
Picked up a new Mathews Z7, took it home, and first 3 arrows -> Robin Hood. I LOVE my Mathews Z7. This is MY Mathews Moment.
MY FIRST BOW KILL WAS A TURKEY!!
My FIRST turkey and bow kill all in one hunt!! At about 7:10 am we started calling and at about 7:15 am we heard a turkey gobble. We looked up and he was standing on the edge of the cut corn field. We called once more and then he charged at the Pretty Boy decoy!! It was amazing! I shot him with my Mathews Q2- it was an incredible Mathews Moment!!!!
Mission for Backstraps
Whats up fellow Mathews freaks my name is Nick Gaier and i'm addicted to my DXT. I shoot it everywhere from 3-D tournaments, hunting any types of game big or small, to launching arrows in the back yard. It's just plain awesome. I think my Mathews is bulletproof because it's never let me down. So here is one of my favorite clips where my DXT lays the smack down and pinwheels this bruiser of a buck, and oh yea...gets me some backstraps for the grill!!
Mikes Mathews Moments
My name is Mike Whiteside and these are some of my Mathews Moments
Arkansas Black Bear Mathews' Moment
Finally scoring on my first Black bear with archery tackle after two previous seasons where my bait site was unable to compete with the abundant acorn crop. My Mathews DXT gets it done.
Inspirational Archer
Watch as Matt Stutzman, truly an inspirational archer, shoots his Reezen 6.5 with no arms and using only his feet.
Monster XLR8 Kill at 68 Yards!
My brother and I decided on a mid-day hunt in late October of 2009. While slowly walking to our area of choice, my brother, Mike, saw a deer approximately 70yds ahead. I ranged the distance and grabbed the video camera as Mike attempted to close the gap some before taking a shot. As you can see, Mike still has his tree stand on his back while taking the shot which we estimated to be around 68 yds. The most impressive part is Mike only setup 40 & 55 yd. sight pins. Mike said he added the distance between the two pins to simulate a 70 yd pin and the rest became history! Without Mike's new Monster XLR8, this shot would not even been considered!
A Mathews Tradition
Everyone's lives are made up of opportunities and traditions. When these two things converge they form one of the greatest Mathews moments imaginable.
