Morgan, Nicholson and Crowe Win ASA Shooter of the Year Awards

  The ASA Shooter of the Year Awards were announced and three Mathews shooters won their respective classes. 

  In the Men’s Open Pro class Levi Morgan ran away with the Shooter of the year award.  Morgan outdistanced the field by 35 points to win the award.  Darrin Christenberry was second and Tim Gillingham was third.  Mathews had seven of the top ten finishers in the class.  The rest of the top ten included: Jeff Hopkins, 5th place; Joseph Goza, 7th place; Mark Thompson, 9th place and Richard Leftwich, 10th place.

  Michael Nicholson won the Shooter of the Year award in the Limited Pro class.  Second place went to Brian Goza and Gene Curry was third.  Mathews finished with nine of the top ten finishers.  The rest of the top ten included: Larry Goza, 4th place; Chris Stachler, 6th place; Rodney Huffman, 7th place; Kerry Klund, 8th place; Charlie Owens, 9th place and Gary Rigney in 10th place.

  In the Senior Pro class, Tom Crowe won the Shooter of the Year Title.  Richard Freeland was 2nd and Lynn Morrison was 3rd.  Mathews had eight of the top ten finishers.  The rest of the top ten included: Burley Hall, 4th place; Les Bressler, 5th place; Bill Ruck, 6th place; Charles Blankenship, 7th place and Randall Jones in 9th place.

  In the Women’s Pro class, the top Mathews finisher was Samantha Morgan who finished in 2nd place.  Jeanna Allbritain was 3rd.  Mathews finished with six of the top ten finishers in the class.  The rest of the top ten included: Connie Calloway, 7th place; Andrea Nicholson, 8th place; Connie Griffin, 9th place and Annette Pettigrew in 10th place.
