I have a black crimson xs. Lovin’ it. I am stacking arrows at 30 and 40 yrds. Shooting 70/29. Bow is super quiet and forgiving in my opinion. I had been shooting a heli m until I purchased the XS. I have added a 10 inch B stinger since this pick was taken.Creed xs-1

I’ve pushed it to 45 yrds and still very accurate. Can’t shoot any further than that due to my yard size.

imageThe bow is great, after about 20 arrows I was grouping perfect at 30 yards.  Only negative is I like a larger peep and with the string angle of the shorter ATA the peep liked to work its way out.  Simple fix, a smaller peep and the bow is perfect.  I highly recommend this bow especially if you hunt out of a stand.

Good looking setup. What kisser button are you shooting?
Also, still confused why everyone is so negative on this bow. I know its all personal preference but to me this bow is more accurate than my heli m and possibly a touch smoother on the draw. I’m shooting a 29″ and have no issues with the string angle. It’s also whisper quiet. At 70lbs/29″ and a 358 grain arrow I chrono’d 302 fps.  So, I just don’t get it. Obviously, this is my 2 cents..

That’s what I’m saying, I have only spent some quality time with this bow at my dealer. They are all loving it but I hear some neg, hype on here. To me it’s exactly like the Xtreme but a little lighter and way smoother. The string angle isn’t all that bad due to the oversized wheel and cam. I think some people just want a 32″ ATA and beyond. I agree that that would be nice to see but this rig like the Xtreme must be a killing machine. It’s a hunting bow not an all around bow.IMHO

The kisser is a OMP Slotted.  I also agree with you on how nice the bow is, I was very surprised how easy it was to shoot, especially since I used to shoot a 32 ata.  I may add the Axion limb dampers as I have witnessed at my local shop they make the bow quieter (hard to imagine) and a few FPS faster.  Overall extremely happy with the XS.  Best bow I shot this year unless you want to go to 34+ ATA for a few more FPS but not worth it to me IMO!

Thanks for the peep update. I agree with U. I am lovin’ mine.
I will have to check out the axion limb dampners. Mine is so quiet with the b stinger it’s crazy. But, for a hunting setup I will for sure look into it. God willing I plan on purchasing one in lost camo to hunt with.

I had a friend that bought one several weeks ago as a back up bow, 60lbs@28′ .He had to send his Hoyt Carbon in for repairs due to an accident he had with it. He can shoot inside his warehouse up to 75 yards. He shoots daily to keep in good form.He is the general manager of they place so he pretty much can do as he pleases. After two weeks of shooting the XS he sold it on Craigs list in two days. He told me that it was fine for 20 to 25 yards but beyond that, his groups got larger the farther back he got. He was shooting the new Carbon Express Reds 400, Mathews QAD rest and Spot Hogg sight. He said the bow paper tuned perfectly. But the bow just did not shoot well for him. He deer hunts as well as elk hunts and need more forgiveness at longer distances. I have a Creed Totally Lost and find I have the same problem. I am considering the Chill R because of the longer ATA. I have always been a single cam Mathews person since Mathews came onto the market years ago. I have owned 20 plus Mathews hunting bows over the past years. The only bow I did not like was the LX. I was hoping like many out there that Mathews would breed a new 32″+ single cam hunting bow. I have been bow hunting for 44 years now. I have hunted in commercial ground blinds, make shift ground blinds, box blinds that were elevated and at dirt level, ladder stands, lock on  and such. I have never had a problem with a bow 32″ to 35″ ATA. The short bows look cool but in the heat of the hunt they are very unforgiving. I did kill a nice bull in Colorado this year with the Creed at 37 yards.IMG_0406 Just remember you give up a lot in these very short ATA bows IMO.

can you post a pic of the chronograph with those numbers? What arrow are you shooting? Did you shoot it several times, and what was the average? How far away did you stand from the first eye? Are these numbers off the backcountry calculator?

I ask because we haven’t seen these numbers yet, not because I doubt you.

My dealer told me that none of the Creeds test out to IBO advertised speeds. The Creed tested at 70lbs@ 30″ with a 350 grain arrow was around 321 to 322 fps. I do not know about the XS.

Kinda why I was asking. I like my creed, but it’s no rocketship! I was able to get close to adjusted Ibo at 29″/70# but not on par with my magnum, which has always been right there, although I know some weren’t able to get there.
