Yeah…..you’re right Cassie. I got sucked in to believing that the Swedes had bigger talent than mouths. Apparently not. :^O :^O :^O

We absolutely dominated that game tonight and if it wasn’t for Campbell in the U.S. nets, it would have been 8-1 at least. Kudos to him.

Yes … it’s amazing what a good goaltender can do between the posts.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Russia … they’re hungry … but will the hunger sustain them.

The US had a chance until the puck was dropped. It was all downhill after that #-o . I outright told my friends that I just didn’t think we had a shot against Canada under the circumstances. Canada had bonded through injuries & suspensions & after a loss to Sweden there was just no way they were losing back to back games.

Hey John…..as much as we wanted to beat you guys after last year’s loss in the gold medal game, I sure hope the U.S. crushes Sweden in the bronze medal game. I listened to some U.S. interviews with Bourque and Campbell after the loss to Canada and they both were total class…..giving credit to Canada and our talent. Not like the Swedes who seem to think they are always the best team (but never manage to win anything) and have a ton of excuses for their losses. They do the same thing every year and that’s just bad coaching on their part. There’s nothing that makes me angrier in sports than players who run off at the mouth before they’ve actually accomplished anything. And, even then, if you do win…..show some class, show some respect for your opponent(s), and take your victory with a dose of humility.

The tendency to trash talk, etc. is one of the reasons I am completely turned off by the NBA and, to a lesser extent, the NFL. There are just too many players in those leagues who show zero class whether they win or lose.

    So: Gold medal game…..Go Canada!

    Bronze medal game…..Go USA!

I could not agree with you more bud. I had just finished watching the Bourque interview yesterday when 3 of my friends sent me texts all saying the same exact thing………..”Why don’t you ever hear interviews like that from NFL players?”
