    Okay, winter can go away any time now. News is talking 6 – 10″ of snow for Friday night/ Saturday morning, plus a storm coming in Monday/Tuesday with greater amounts possible. Fishing opener is May 4th and there is still 30+ inches of ice on the lakes. 9 degrees this morning, 11 yesterday morning. We might be ice fishing for the opener. In general terms, this was a fairly mild winter, but it won’t go away. I think the news said the average high for this time of year was 58 degrees. A little closer to that would be nice. I know we could use the moisture, but rain would be fine with me. This is gettin’ old. Alright, done whining now.

    Aren’t things just getting crazy weather wise?  We had only enough ice this year to fish about a week.  And that was 2.5″….  I haven’t got to ice fish for two years now.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_crying}
    The end is near....

    We had ice here on and off, the problem was it was so spotty that when it would get good enough to fish everyone and there brother would be on all the brush piles in huge groups and in turn made the fishing suck. To much pressure

    Ice fishing —- naw not around here — we could have trolled about anywhere this past winter.

    Yep this cold below freezing nights and below norm temps during the day with 20 mile an hour winds is putting a kink in my outdoor shooting.

    It’s not been a nice winter. Not too cold or even much snow, but compared to last year’s mild weather, it’s a bummer. On the other hand, we sort of know that winter is going to come each year and can you imagine how shocked we’d be if it didn’t show up one year. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_shocked}

    Well, it’s showing up again. We are currently in the 8 – 12″ range. Weather stations are predicting 1 – 1 1/2 inches per hour. I’m hoping Spring will decide to show up one of these days.

    Yep, just heard on the news that we have a winter storm watch for this Friday. Can’t believe it. Here it is April 10 and we’re talking MORE snow. Gimme a break Mother Nature. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_brick_wall}

    You could always move here I guess {#emotions_dlg.mathews_big_smile} Been in the mid 80′s the last few days- sunny with light breezes. Was 86 yesterday. Gave the dogs their first garden hose bath in a long time {#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing}

    82 degrees today with strong storms this pm.  Been a little warm for Spring IMO.
    Won’t be long til we’re complaining about the heat.

    This is my out-take on it. Any day I wake up is a good day!

    Psalm 118:24-25 (KJV)
    24This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

    Plenty of spring showers came yesterday and today. Now trees are in bloom and the early bulbs flowers are too and the yard is turning blue green. The lightning last night dumped some nitrogen out of the air and helped green stuff up. At this rated I have to tune my lawn mower and sharpen the blades by this weekend.

    I will most likely have to put the plow back on my truck in the morning if this keeps up. Snowing HARD right now. The weather call is for an additional 4 – 6 by morning. We DO need the moisture though. Be careful what you wish for, it might not come in the form you were hoping for{#emotions_dlg.mathews_big_smile} So much for the April  showers saying!

    We have about 5 cm of ice pellets on the ground and now freezing rain. Miserable! But, the temperatures are supposed to get back to normal within two days. Sure hope it warms up before turkey season opens on the 25th.

    Just got another 13″ of snow Thurs night/Fri morning. Calling for flurries tomorrow and 1-3″ on Monday. Temp was 7 degrees F this morning, supposed to get to about 30 for a high. Normal is mid 60′s. We get better weather than this in December! Ducks and Geese are going to turn around and head back south{#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_down}
