    You all have some very good points, and thanks for stating them the way you did. When I used the term “quitter “, I didn’t mean that in our lives, I meant it pertaining to the use of the forum, and perhaps I should have expressed that. For that, I owe you all an apology. For me, I will stay and wait it out, hoping for better things to come.

    Same here.  That’s the main reason I didn’t “quit” and go to FB.  {#emotions_dlg.mathews_not_talking}  I’ll just log in every once in a while using Google Chrome if I need to get my PMs and use IE 10 the rest of the time.  The glass is clearly “half-full” (but no more than half {#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing}  {#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing} ).

    Well, having been a part of the forum from within the first couple of hours that it went live, I guess I’m not likely to go anywhere, either, but I don’t have any difficulty in understanding why others have. I feel like we’re part of the Dead Poets Society. All we need now is our captain…

    I joined the Facebook group but don’t get over there very often. I usually check in here at least once per day. With the exception of those who simply can’t access this forum for technical reasons, I don’t see why former members can’t participate in both fora (that’s forums for you Yanks {#emotions_dlg.mathews_big_smile}). I recognize that Facebook allows a little more leeway in the language used and the topics addressed, but that’s okay. By participating in both fora, members can get the best of both worlds. I guess what I’m trying to say is it would be nice if many of the former members (listed by Merph) would return to the Mathews forum. As he stated, some of the humour was priceless. Oh well, que sera, sera.

    I still laugh at your spelling.  {#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing}

    Same here Larry!  Totally agree, but some of them really think they can get Mathews to switch back to the old format by “boycott” or they hope it goes under as it is today.  No hard feelings here………that’s their choice.  I think it’s pretty clear now though that Mathews ain’t going back.  So if it sinks, I’ll go down with the ship.  {#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    I just don’t understand why we keep on going over the same thing over and over..forum changed.. some people left… Some people dont like the new format.. it’s been said over and over… I’m pretty sure it ain’t changing, so why keep beating a dead horse? I wish some of the ones that left would check in.. bit if they don’t that’s their choice to make..

    Call it wishful thinking or simply romanticism. I guess some of us just refuse to give up hope that the forum can become something better than it is. {#emotions_dlg.typotux}

    Some folks appear to suffer from OCD about this subject {#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing}

    Side note: On occasion I see some of these members (on the list above and others) are dropping in when I check to see who’s on here at the bottom of the forum page. They are not posting just looking things over I guess. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_taunt}

    I’m with RickyM on this one.  Guys coming or going don’t improve the function of the forum and it’s time to move onward.    At the end of the day…it’s just a forum and my life is too full to keep hashing over the obvious.  {#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    Well it’s obvious by the title what this particular thread is about, so why visit it? And I mean that legitimately. There are a host (few?) other threads that have absolutely nothing to do with gripes/suggestions/complaints, and one thread that allows us to bemoan a little. What’s the harm? {#emotions_dlg.typotux}

    Most of us are contributing other places. I don’t see much harm in having one semi-active thread where we can continue to encourage some changes. Are things predetermined to never change here? Maybe. Perhaps Ricky is right about being fatalistic about the forum, but one way to guarantee that is by letting the admins think that everyone is now content with it.

    Besides, it’s an online community. It’s what we do. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_tongue}

    That is absolutely untrue…  Everybody on the facebook page knows mathews isn’t going to do anything.  That is why the facebook page was made and because we are friends and like to socialize.   And I’ve said it before, nobody wants anything to fail.  All your assumptions make you come across as having hard feelings, incase you don’t realize it.

    The fourth topic down is 2 days old…  I would think you would be happy to see anything being posted.

    But you’re talking in circles.  You have friends here and you can/could socialize.  As I said, no hard feelings Larry, but your words and actions don’t match.  One of the FB group members told me that he’d be surprised if the Mathews Forum is still around a year from now.  I think the forum could outlive FB and looks like it will certainly last longer than Twitter.  Either way it’s all good and nice to have you drop by once in a while!  {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}
