    A house is just a house…….it is the quality of the people that live there…that make it a home…and therein lies the difference. I wish ya’ll coulda been here back in the day when this forum was first introduced. It really rocked…..now not so much. Don’t get me wrong…alota great people are still here. I think that a forum is a lot like a persons journey through life…. alot of friends come and go…..some left because they were offended by others….. that ironically left also…some just grew bored …..some just faded away……as they say you can never go back……the old days of the forum and alot of the old members that i knew… i hold dear to my heart.. as.they were special people…and still are…wherever lifes journey has taken them…..i keep in touch with some  on facebook……Hmmmmmmm gotta go…i have a deer rifle that needs sighted-in…..later{#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}{#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    I have so much trouble with the forum now that I hardly ever stop in anymore. I hate the way its laid out also. I have been busy this year and haven’t been on the computer near as much as I was also. Like Vince said I’m glad Mathews has this place for us to talk archery. I’ve made lots of good friends here and will stop in but I’m not here every day like I use to be!

    {#emotions_dlg.sign_iagree}I was trying to highlight Dennis’s last sentence. I couldn’t agree more with what he has said.

    I do 95% of all Internet surfing on my smartphone. When Mathews transitioned to the new format, I had a lot of difficulty getting on do to compatibility issues with my browser. It was just so slow. I did get a Samsung S4 several months ago and it is a bit easier to get on the forum, but navigating it still feels odd. Probably the main reason I don’t check in as much was do to the inactivity of many members. Topics would go days without much activity. Just really slow paced for me.

    I still plan on hanging around and will try to check in more often. There are several good folks here and many more to meet up with someday. It has been a very busy year on the farm and also working 7 days a week in the factory.

    Take care y’all!! See ya later!!

    Good to see you here Eric. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}

    Hey Larry, my Northern neighbor.  Hope all is going well for you and your family.

    I thought there was an edit or delete button, but that may only appear for so many minutes  after making a post.

    P.S.   I do see the Edit Button right after I made the above post.  I’m thinking it stays there for 60 minutes.

    This new forum and my iPhone don’t seem to get along.  Making posts are a chore.  Can’t just simply reply to someone with out auto correct screwing up and causing me to correct things a lot.   I don’t own a computer so it’s iPhone or nothing for me.  You would think that a website developer would make their websites more user friendly to the most popular phone in the world.   Maybe Sleeping Giant Studios was to busy sleeping or maybe designing the obamacare website.

    Ahhh yes, the old forum. Many of us spent several hours testing the beta version, suggesting changes that would still resemble the old version, while giving it a fresh update. It was almost as if very few quality suggestions actually were implemented, and it became sort of like talking to a wall. I figured if that is how they wanted to operate, I didn’t want to be a part of it anymore. I’ve really enjoyed stepping away from the forum, and though I do miss people and as Micky said it, the comraderie, but that’s about it.

    There are many theories as to why the forum died out.  There is evidence that a meteorite struck near Sparta and dust from the impact blocked sunlight, thereby resulting in an environment unsuitable for the forum to exist.  Still others believe evolution claimed the forum and that it evolved into modern day Facebook.  Still others, myself included, don’t believe it ever really existed.  Any evidence is purely incidental.  Other than giant clown shoe footprints found in and around Meade, Pennsylvania and the occasional surfacing of a post by a fossil like me, does anybody really have tangible proof that the old forum ever really was?

    Actually, I do.

    Just happens to be a screen shot I took during the original release of the new look.

    Thanks for that Chris.  Looks vaguely familiar!

    It’s not really dead it’s more like a zombie lol. What I don’t like about it is if I’m on my I pad and delete a misspelled work and start Typing it won’t write anything it don’t do it all the time but most of the time.

    More like  a zombie? Maybe a slow zombie! After moving over from OGF ( Ohio Game Fishing), where the forum runs like it’s supposed to, I came here and the place just crawls along like a snail on downers! Good Lord! Come on Sleeping Giant Studios, or Unconscious Megamorph Chamber of Horrors, or whatever you’re called, isn’t it about time you got your act straightened out? YOU ARE SLOW!!!!!!!!!!

    What’s going on? Why is the forum this way? IT SUCKS!!!! The old Snitz software was bad, but I don’t think it was was even this bad! I seriously have to wonder, what the **** is going on here? I think that Sleeping Giant has sold Mathews a freaking bill of goods! They promised them something that they are not in the position to deliver! I’ve had it! I’ll be checking back from time to time.  But, if I don’t see an improvement in performance, I’m also outta here!

    It's not how far you shoot, but how close you get.
