I can’t read the forum posts now without logging on. What gives?
Several past members who no longer have Mathews Accounts can no longer read the forum posts and have complained to me. I take it nobody now without a Mathews Account can even read the forum posts. Seems like Mathews is closing the door on people.
Sometimes I like to just troll the Mathews website and forums and don’t want to be bothered with logging on. Now I can’t do that … I’m having to log on a dozen times a day, having my posts disappear … poof … if I click on the wrong button, decide to not load an image and try to go back to what I’ve written, all in all it is total frustration.
Anyone else having this problem and upset about the new ‘policy’ … at least I assume someone made a policy that the forum could not be read without having a Mathews account.
Joined: 10/22/2007Yes I’m tired of it too. Busy enough as it is without one more thing to slow things up. If the forum is going to be used as a tool to promote Mathews products I can’t see how this is helping. You make it easy for folks to get info on a product, not make them jump through hoops. I can’t help but feel like its somewhat elitist.
Anybody listening from Mathews?Mathews S2 / Copper John 4-pin / QAD HD LD / Worlds Best Strings / 808 Bowslings / Easton Bloodlines
Location: Call me...867-5309I noticed that the other day and thought it was just my computer or something. If this is Mathews new policy, boy they really don’t want a forum at all then…. What’s next, only members with registered Mathews bows? Or maybe they were just looking for something to slow the page loading speed down even more…The end is near....You are not alone…………………………………
Just when I found myself coming back here more, this ridiculous required log-in feature kicks in.
Atlease I’m safe there…LOL
When I did a ‘forensics’ of the website, it showed a server overload due to inefficient utilization. Requiring account log-on certainly would be a way to reduce server overload … eliminate the clients. But don’t you all feel warm and fuzzy that with our account we are able to ‘access exclusive features’?

I hate it. Not like my password is my bow serial number
It’s pretty obvious when looking more closely at the login page that someone at Mathews now considers the ability to view posts as ‘exclusive content’.
They are losing a dollar to make a dime………………..
This keeps coming up, and not one admin or forum personnel speaks up. Will one of yall grow a pair and let everyone know if we have to have a “account” just to come on here and read a post. Its ridiculous, and like “the’ve” said, this forum cant take much more of a hit before its shut down in my opinion.I too was getting annoyed, almost like sharepoint at work. We do have to lock things down due to personal information but on a forum is crazy. Not sure why it is a requirement but not even sure if you can log in once a day or is it like every time you visit? I visit once a day lately so someone else can chime in on that one.
Sure is quiet on the admin front? What gives Admins? Why the change?Gary '09 Reezen 6.5 @ 68#'s Toxonic 4-pin sight B-Stinger 8.5"
Joined: 8/4/2004i will pass the info on to the forum admin. thats all i can tell ya.to me this is all great feed back to the Admin. And again the majority of folks like to look over this forum way before they join. Closing it to the lurkers will definitely stop the numbers of new members and the growth to this forum.Another thing I noticed about the time you had to log on to read the forum, most of my Profile information disappeared and I had to refresh my password, location, and birthday info.
