That’s the hardest one to even have chance at a world record P&Y animal. Look at the millions of whitetails taken every year in North America….. and how few “monsters” (> 200″) are taken with a bow [Steve GBBL GBL excluded - at least for this past year].
When you look at percentages – the whitetail is your worst case scenario. So might as well take care of it first!
With all that said, I’m a meat hunter first – so whatever legal animal walks by first gets an arrow & on the grill shortly thereafter.
I could throw out the Caribou. Not that I wouldn’t shoot one, it just wouldn’t top my list. I could add Black Bear, Mountain Goat, Desert Big Horn, Rocky Mountain Bighorn, Pronghorn Antelope…

A Caribou hunt would be fun, if you could see one of those migrations with thousand of animals. Keith Beam told me about his hunt last year and it sounded great. I saw the show on tv and I would not mind doing that. Not at all.
