I said moose! Moose are huge and the world record would be awesome! Actually, I’d take shooting a record book… anything!

    No option for Roosevelt Elk???

    I voted for Moose.

If it’s going to be a record, it might as well be a BIG one.

Hunting elk is my absolute favorite activity of ANYTHING I could ever do, but for me, it’s not about the horns. I’m just as happy with a cow.

I’ve never hunted Moose, but if I ever get the chance, then I want to go for a big one.

    I voted Elk,
because nothnig tastes remotely near as delicious

Elk steaks, mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes. Shut-up and eat.

Alberta Rocky Mountains, the most wonder for the traveller.

    Banff, Canmore, Jasper.

    Whitetail Deer

That’s the hardest one to even have chance at a world record P&Y animal. Look at the millions of whitetails taken every year in North America….. and how few “monsters” (> 200″) are taken with a bow [Steve GBBL GBL excluded - at least for this past year].

When you look at percentages – the whitetail is your worst case scenario. So might as well take care of it first!

With all that said, I’m a meat hunter first – so whatever legal animal walks by first gets an arrow & on the grill shortly thereafter. :D

I could throw out the Caribou. Not that I wouldn’t shoot one, it just wouldn’t top my list. I could add Black Bear, Mountain Goat, Desert Big Horn, Rocky Mountain Bighorn, Pronghorn Antelope…

And I’d still have to say: Any one of the above.

A Caribou hunt would be fun, if you could see one of those migrations with thousand of animals. Keith Beam told me about his hunt last year and it sounded great. I saw the show on tv and I would not mind doing that. Not at all.
