I enjoy bow season the most, and devote most of my hunting time to it. However, I also enjoy getting out the old flintlock in the late season if I still have a tag left.

    I do both,
When late ML comes in the bow gets put up until next season.
Because you’d Never get one within bow range after the 2 slug seasons.

After dog hunting season began here last week you can forget hunting with a bow in these parts. I do have a private farm that I hunt that the owner will only allow me to use a bow. I appreciate the chance to hunt and honor his wishes gladly. I will always hunt with a bow during blackpowder season instead of changing, but go with the rifle when the time comes. My first choice is always with a bow.

My shotgun and I always seem to get the job done, and I absolutely love to hunt with the smokepole, The funny thing is , most of the shots I take with a fire arm are well within bow range :^O

Last yrs buck with muzzleloader,, 15yds, hunted the same stand with a bow most of the season. It was late in the yr, end of Dec

I carry a gun, just to look good with my son. It’s the only time we have all year togather, but it has been 15 years sence the last time I shot a deer with a gun.

I hunt with whatever I feel like taking into the woods at the time. I’m about a 98% bow hunter though. The percentage just seems to grow every year :D :thumbup

I bowhunt more and more every year and I love it,But there is no better feeling than slipping through the woods with a fine rifle in your hands..and like someone else had said,Once they unleash the hounds around here bowhunting becomes MUCH more difficult.(as if it wasn’t hard enough to start with!)
