That is most likely only because more people ride a bike than climb a tree. [=}=]

It is apples and oranges. Everything we do in life has some level of danger or risk. Everyone has different levels of risk that they are comfortable with. For me, anything that the risk is low enough that I’m willing to participate in the activity, I still choose to take every possible precaution to mitigate that risk as much as possible. Harness or belt while in the stand, helmet and other protective gear while riding, etc.

both have a chance of getting killed. but you are the only one that can mess up in a tree stand. on a motorcycle someone else can get you along with yourself doing something accidently. [=}=]

My thought exactly! You may not be riding like an idiot, but there are plenty of folks out there who drive like ‘em!!

It's not how far you shoot, but how close you get.

Both leak their juices out on the ground when they fall from high enough, or get run over by a car ;)

If you are hunting in a tree stand without a harness, you are not being fair to your family. Yes you are the one that is going to be injured or killed, but your family pays the price. If someone falls and get paralyzed more than one life get destroyed ](*,)

I gotta agree. You don’t have to watch out for deaf and blind spinsters in their Crunchmobiles while sitting a stand!

Im terrified of motorcycles…. Having said that, I have NEVER seen (other than young teens on crotchrockets) more responsible operators than the men and women I usually see on motorcycles…. the only reason Im scared of a motorcycle is becuase of other drivers.. :thumbup

I would say falling from a tree stand without a safety harness
I would think not many people get hurt sitting in a tree stand without one. ;)
