Thats a tough call. I don’t know what the percentages are.

I have lost 3 friends to motor cycle. One was riding foolishly, the other two the driver of a car did not see them and ran them over.

I know two guys that fell out of tree stands, and were injured very badly. One of them would have died if his wife had not called someone to go look for him when he was late and didn’t answer his phone.

    Wear a harness

both have a chance of getting killed. but you are the only one that can mess up in a tree stand. on a motorcycle someone else can get you along with yourself doing something accidently. [=}=]

I ride daily on the freeway here. I’ve spent plenty of time up a tree too. We never heard anything about safety when I was younger. We did lots of dangerous jobs and activities with no safety devices. We were taught to plan well and be ever vigilent, and how to stop bleeding. Safety devices are overated. Caution and awareness will keep you alive and well.

    But I poop standing up.

FWIW I drink Ouzo or Raki straight, bourbon and tequila too.

Do like a good Bloody Mary or Screwdriver though.

Gnawbone Ale is a fave of mine………not exactly a girly beer, and most IPA’s don’t fall under that.

I do have my Switchback XT at 68#’s, so your argument might have some support there.

But I am dumping my 50# recurve for a more manly one.

Statistically riding a bike, with OR without a helmet. That is most likely only because more people ride a bike than climb a tree. To be honest with you though, both are like playing Russian Roulette with 5 in the cylinder [=}=]
