    Hey

I have herd a lot of talk about the MR7 being slow. I have one on order and would like to think it will shoot its ibo speed. However everyone i have talked to says it wont shoot what its advertised too.

Any thoughts on this. What do all of you know.

My PSE Dom pro at 29 70lb shoots a 390gr arrow at 296 I would like to think the MR7 would be faster but eveyone says dont get your hopes up.

Make sure you carry a bar of soap with you. It will help the arrows pull out easier. :thumbup

My M7 is 28.5@60#. My hunting arrows finish out at 400gr. and it chronos at 288 fps. You shouldn’t have any problems hitting IBO with it.

:D :welcome to the :solocam forum… :thumbup

I will guareentee that if the bow is spec tuned it will meet or exceed advertised IBO…

    Remember however..

    Take rated IBO…
IBO speeds are based on a bow with a 30″ draw set at 70lbs shooting a 350gr arrow.
-For every inch of draw length you go down you will lose 10 FPS
-For every 5# draw weight you go down you will lose 10 FPS
-For every 3 grains of weight your arrow is over IBO ( 5 grains per pound) you will lose 1 FPS
-For every 3 grains of weight you add to your string you will lose 1 FPS

I’ve ran mine at 28″ and 70# on several occasions and with my 490 gr. arrows and just a d-loop and peep I’m at 280fps.

With all that being thought out befor I was looking for 305fps I get IBO out of everything I have ever tuned. I have just been told by a few people locally it won’t do it. I told them your crazy I said if it won’t IBO it has problems! I appreciate your response and I am confident it will. I also like hearing what others rigs are getting.

I am currently thinking of buying a MR7 I have a 31.5 inch draw and was wondering what types of speed I would be looking at with a 60# versus a 70# bow. I currently shoot the Switchback LD 32″ draw 71#. I was never into the “Speed” thing but from the looks of things this would be a considerable upgrade in that department.
