I just received a loc-on style stand and cannot decide what type of ladder system to use…
Just looking for everyones opinions on which you like or prefer based on experiences using the products. Good and Bad responses are welcome…

I feel that any of the above will work fine, however, money not an issue, the lone wolf sticks are lighter and easier to pack in and out! :thumbup

    I didn’t vote because I didn’t see an option for “tall”. ;)

    None of the above.

    I use Quik-Stiks by API.
    Bass Pro has them.
    They’re a little pricey,
    but very good.

Sticks by far, in my opinion, are the best option available. They are light, mobile, safe and strong. I usually pick up the sticks by Ameristep…they are sold here at the local Walmart. Cannot beat them. I have 7 sets now. [=}=] [=}=] [=}=]

I have used the non-typical ladder sections for the first time this year and they have worked very well. They can be a little bit of a pain to bring in and take out but they have held strong for 3 months now and worked perfect on a tree that bends way too much for a climber and stiks would also be difficult on. I also like the boot clearence that I get on this rather than the little ledge that some of the ladders have.

A quick question for those who have the sticks. Do any of them come with a loop or something to aid in locking it to the tree? I ask because the places where I hang stands is private land but quite a few hunt there. I have yet to have something stolen but I dont want to risk it either.

I have those (1) piece Big Game Climbing Sticks and love them. I can see why people like the rapid rails (or the like)….they would be easier to put up in lots of crooked trees.
