What sight do you perfer for hunting horizontal or vertical pins. I guess the next question is, is it because you feel it allows you to see more of the animal?

I am asking because I hear a lot of people down here going to trophy ridge vertical pin sights because they can see more of the the deer horizontally, but i use horizontal pins because I want to see more of the deer vertically in relation to my pin. Am i over thinking this? ](*,)

I was going to install the Hunter Hogg it until I shot with the Trophy Ridge single vertical pin. I see much more of the animal with this sight. Only reason I went with it.
I don’t even need to move the pin much if at all out to 40 yds.

It is not as heavy duty as the Hog,but it is tight, and works for me very well. Check both out

No voet for me. I’m a single pin guy with a HHA. I plan to set the pin at 25yds and leave it alone unless I have one a ways out and I have the time to range and adjust the sight.

I like the HHA single pins, never had a better sight ,i’ve tried spott hogg and copper john, great sights but block a lot of the target in a hunting situation I like to pick a spot i want to hit and with the HHA it gives me faster target aquisition.Shoot what works best for ya! :thumbup

I just bought the Spot Hogg Hunter Wrapped. Like its looks and the fact it was built like a King Tiger.

Purely personal preference … much will depend on your aiming style whether you like one or the other.

… then there is always the horizontal pins with a vertical wire :whistle :whistle

+1 on the single vertical pin preference for hunting.
I shoot the Trophy Ridge and like it, but your HHA is a better sight.
    It will be my next.

Also agree with the Hogg IT fans as far as construction and quality. I just didn’t like all those horizontal pins blocking the view of the animal.

but the trophy ridge pins leave a lot
to be desired in the brightness department

thinking of switching but don’t know if
i will like the horizontal pins or having
to adjust a single pin while hunting
