I’m in the market for a new release, and am interested to know what release do you guys use or prefer? Also, debating between a hook or closed jaw style? I know it’s a matter of personal preference to a degree, but would appreciate any input I can get! Thanks in advance!

I bought a Scott Sabretooth last year, based on some good online reviews. I have no complaints. On the other hand, I have never used anything else so I can’t compare it to anything. It really is a matter of personal preference.

I just counted my releases. I own 11 releases. The one I like the best is the Tru-Fire Hardcore. But was thinking of going to the Tru-Fire Hardcore Max until you made me count how many I now own.

The Hardcore Max has adjustable length, trigger tension and travel. It also seems quieter than the others I have. It is worth a look. Made in USA too (WI). They also have great CS.

Brian – Thanks for the response. I will check it out!

Mark – Sorry to make you have to count them all up. Sounds like you have quite a collection! ;)

Jason – Thanks to you also for the input! You and Mark are in the same camp!

Mark & Jason – On the Hardcore, do you prefer the swept or forward trigger option??? Just wondering…

Carter quickie for me love the hook and the trigger is very crisp. Got my first one 6 years ago and haven’t looked back

I like the swept trigger too.

I guess after 35+ years of bowhunting I have some “stuff”.

Yes, you do my friend, yes you do! I am somewhat of a “collector” myself, or so my wife likes to tell me. Along with all of my “stuff”, I still have her around after quite a few years too! :D

I borrowed a Carter Quikie for a while. My 2 cents:

Very nice trigger and definitely quality…….it’s a Carter.

Seemed bulky (head) and was noticeably loud.

:D Fletchunter release by Jim Fletcher..had 3 in the last 30 years still have two working perfect…lost one :p

I have shot a great deal of different availible but always come back to the Fletchunter…awesome for hunting and shot two triple hoods with the fletchunter so I am sure they would be awesome for 3D and paper..
    JMHO :D
