My pup and I got our first wild bird, point to flush to kill. :thumbup I said we would mount the first bird we got that wasnt too torn up and it happens that our first one made it.

Now comes the question on what to get…..Do i go with a flushing bird mount or a standing bird mount. I really like the looks of both.

I voted flushing but it really depends on where you want to display it. A wall is flushing a stand or shelf is standing. Considering you have a new dog you might want it high on a wall. :^O

I would suggest a full mount of the dog AND the chukar.

If you mount it Sanding then I’d give it about 2 minutes on your table before Saaz turns it into another feather massacre in your house. Your best bet would be to mount it flying and hang it from your ceiling (and not too low). :thumbup

For a second that’s exactly what I thought he wanted to do after I read the thread title. “He’s gonna mount the chukar and the DOG?! :^O

It's not how far you shoot, but how close you get.

I have no doubt Saaz would be able to grab the bird off the wall in the house….The dog can jump out of his 6 ft Kennel with ease….

I was planning on putting it in the corner between my two euro mounts, that way if the dog gets it not only will he ruin the mount but he will ruin the TV and i will have a good reason to strangle him. :^O :^O :^O
