about 30 yards as a rule, but have killed deer a bit further. if i could hold a three inch group at 50 yards, i would consider a shot at that distance, if the conditions were good.

I limit myself to 30 yds. After 30 yds, my groups open up so I won’t take a chance on a bad shot if it’s over 30 yds.

I’ve always figured out to 50 under ideal conditions but I’ve had a number of them at 50 and the conditions were ideal. I never let the arrow fly.

    I guess I’ll have to start saying 40 [=}=]

Depends on how much I have had to drink before I climb up in the tree.Really though I have no problem shooting 45 yards.I dont drink at all anymore. :^O

With owning the greatest bow in the world “05 SB”, and perfect conditions:

    Antelope – 60 yards

    Deer – 50 yards

    Elk – 40 to 50 yards

    Non perfect conditions:

    Nothing over 45 yards

Voted 30 every time[/u:3vh5v8ko]. Conditions being perfect then 45+. Just know that a strong wind can make holding steady more difficult.
