    I can also relate to trophy rule, I have been hunting my entire life but just started deer hunting a few years ago. Tried it once as a kid and hated sitting there all quiet and not seeing any deer, but with 3 small boys of my own I have come to appreciate the quiet and uneventful days. Needless to say Im hooked now. However I have made a lot of dumb mistakes such as moving to fast and too soon, not to mention missing a lot, so in these few years I have yet to take a deer, so any deer I put down will be a trophy for sure. I shoot a rifle for a living so from the get go I decided I would only bow hunt and as  frustrating as it is to not have taken a deer yet, I wouldn’t change it for the world. With all that said I would love to see more shows dedicating more time to beginner hunters. I know a lot of show focus on the beginner from a child’s aspect but there are plenty of adults, especially those of us in the military who don’t get exposed to deer hunting until well into adult hood. I recently got a buddy into hunting who was raised in New York City and has never hunted a day in his life, turns out once he got to Alabama he realized how great being a country boy can be. A few episodes dedicated to us rookies breaking everything down would be great.

    How about more suburban deer hunting. I know most of us on the East Coast do not have big woods to hunt but do have extremely great hunting in woodlots of the suburbs.

    Since you said yes to taking a forum member please put GJArcher at the top of your list.  He is a wealth of archery knowledge and has helped many of us over the years from new archers to veteran archers that just needed a little help.   He is also a veteran.  He is a great asset to this forum.

    How about some turkeys with a bow? Haven’t seen that on any show yet.

    I have to agree with those who suggest you consider GJArcher for a hunt.  The guy is unbelievable; a wealth of technical knowledge that he freely shares with anyone.  He definitely goes above and beyond.

    How about a reality hunt. You know, go to public property, scout, hang a set, and hunt like we all do.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up} Personally, I enjoy hunts that allow the viewer to see all aspects of the hunt, even if it means failure. TV hunting has become so canned and for the most part too predictable and a bit boring. Idea:pick a state, pick a county, pick an area, find a local host, and go hunting…reality style.

    x2 for what Tedd3 said.  Would love to have you come up north with me and my buddies and do a reality based hunt where there isn’t an outfitter involved. Northern Wisconsin.

    A Pennsylvania public land spring turkey hunt. There are so many guys that go out on the public land it would be cool to see things like where you scouted, why did you pick the spot, how did you deal with other hunting pressure. It would be cool to show people that you can still get it done only public land pressured toms.

    I would like to see you take someone from this forumon a hunt. There is no one more deserving than gjarcher! I think that most of the usual’s here will agree with me. Brian has always taken the time to answer anybody’s questions and in a very humble and respective way. My vote is to see Brian on Mathews TV!{#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}{#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    x2…he probably rolls his eyes when he sees another pm from me….haha!   have passed on his wisdom to many of my friends and family.

    I’ve always liked the family orientation you’ve made on Mathews TV. The A-role is great, but not the most important part of the hunt for some of us. “Being Out Among’em” is really what it is all about, and those opportunities are dwindling rapidly in today’s society.

    Having a forum member picked to be part of a hunt would be a wonderful idea, but there should be some ground rules. Random pick has its appeal, but also its detractions. Randomly picking a Mathews Dealer or Rep wouldn’t have the same forum following as picking some Joe Average Mathews owner. Also, coupling the hunt  with either Make-A-Wish Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project would put it over the top, IMHO.

    If there is some way I could participate in a TV episode dedicated to ethical hunting, youth or those of our Military who have sacrificed, I’d not only be honored but flattered.
